Itinerary for a day tour of Bai Dinh and Trang An
7h30: Motorbike Viet’s car and tour guide pick you up at the appointed location in Hanoi. Then, depart for the first location, Bai Dinh Pagoda – Ninh Binh. Travel time is about 2 hours.
10h30: Arrive at Bai Dinh Pagoda, from the parking lot, board the tram to go to the gate of Bai Dinh Pagoda (about 3km). Inside, you will visit many famous areas and architecture. Bai Dinh Pagoda has an area of about 107 hectares, of which:
- The shrine of Tam The and the Dharma Chu is thousands of square meters wide.
- Visit the bronze Buddha Tathagata Statue, the largest statue in Southeast Asia, weighing 100 tons, along with 3 Tam statues, each weighing up to 50 tons.
- The caves have beautiful stalactites in Ninh Binh, with unique and beautifully shaped stalactites, no less than the caves in Halong Bay.
12h30: You go to a local restaurant for lunch, and enjoy Ninh Binh’s specialties such as scorched rice, mountain goat,… After finishing lunch, the group rests right at the restaurant to prepare. Get an afternoon tour of the Trang An and Bai Dinh day tour.
13h30: A car and tour guide take you to the Trang An area. Then, take a boat ride along the stream between rice fields to visit Trang An tourist area with limestone strips, valleys, and rivers interwoven to create a mysterious space. With this route, visitors will visit the most beautiful caves of Trang An such as Bright Cave, Dark Cave, Wine Making Cave, Ba Giot Cave,…
16h00: After visiting Trang An, you will have 45 minutes to cycle around the Trang An area. The tour guide will ride with you around work, around the mountains, explore the lives of local people, and stop to take the most beautiful photos.
16h45: Get on the bus to return to Hanoi.
19h00: You arrive in Hanoi. End of Trang An and Bai Dinh day tour program. See you later.
